At first glance, die Helferei is a matching platform that connects (i) people with great talents and in need of community and financial income with (ii) those seeking help with those little things that arise in everyday life (household, carpentry, carrying aid, IT issues, etc.). We connect them at neighborhood levels based on a B2C marketplace business model (B2B to follow later).

However, Helferei's mission goes far beyond improving matchings of demand and supply:

To date, out services are bookable via a website and via phone. However, end of October or beginning of November we will open a neighborhood kiosk in front of Marheineke Markthalle in Bergmannkiez. It will be staffed with a "Kiez concierge" who will act as an important sparring partner for civic neighborhood engagement and improved community mental health.
