HL BaSE advised Neuropool on a £300,000 investment from the Growth Impact Fund ("GIF").
Over 500,000 autistic adults in the UK are unemployed, a staggering figure caused by barriers faced by neurodivergent people trying to enter the workforce, including a lack of early intervention during education and underdiagnosis, which disproportionally affects women.
Neuropool addresses these barriers through an inclusive recruitment service, working with employers and universities to recruit neurodivergent talent. Neuropool has helped over 200 neurodivergent professionals gain employment and built a community of over 12,600, providing them with employment mentoring and accelerator programmes. Neuropool aims to help employ 10,000 neurodiverse professionals by 2030.
"It has been my pleasure to work alongside the Hogan Lovells team over the last 2 years, as a neurodivergent entrepreneur the team made the investment process a very smooth experience for me. With their support throughout all the negotiations with legal queries it was crucial to my decision making throughout the investment round. We would also like to personally thank Anthony Doolittle, Wilson Pek, Tom Walsh who were outstanding throughout the entire investment process. I cannot thank them enough for their patience, professionalism and the time they dedicated to Neuropool and myself. They always gave us clear and realistic outcomes and timelines, it was a brilliant first experience of a commercial investment round. Thank you Hogan Lovells and to all the team that worked on the round & terms sheet.”
