The first Germany-wide HL BaSE Catalyst pro bono workshop, held over Zoom on 25 June 2020.
10 lawyers from our German offices advised three social enterprises from the education sector:
Die Lehrwerksatt
Die Lehr:werkstatt is a tandem project for teachers and those studying to become teachers, who are matched by us with the help of an algorithm-based online tool. Following a successful meet & greet Die Lehrweksatt supports the tandem teams for the duration of one school year in their efforts to shape school and lessons
EduNet Europe gGmbH
Aimed at promoting equal opportunities in education and improving educational standards, EduNet Europe brings together schools, institutions of higher education, universities, continuing education centres, teachers' associations, education departments and education initiatives, with a special focus on strengthening cooperation interdisciplinary ties and between researchers and teachers on the one hand (integration of theory and practice) and linguistic and scientific disciplines on the other.
Long Yang e.V.
Long Yang e.V. is committed to the preservation and revival of an original Buddhist practice path from the Himalayas and organises workshops and presentations to make the spiritual and medical knowledge of Buddhist traditions from the Himalayas accessible to people from all over the world.
Over the course of the workshop, our lawyers advised the social enterprises on the areas key to the development and long-term success of the projects. In addition to questions relating to company law and tax law, cooperation agreements and employment law issues in a European context were discussed.
The session was a great success and we look forward to hosting more HL BaSE Catalyst training sessions in Germany.
