Wilder Marches - Natures Recovery for Rural Prosperity
The Wilder Marches is a landscape recovery programme hosted by The Wildlife Trusts of Shropshire, Montgomeryshire, Herefordshire and Radnorshire. Wilder Marches aims to create more spaces where people and nature thrive. Our work will help restore missing species from the landscape and restore woodlands and wetland ecosystems, including rivers and peatlands. It looks to build a network of estates, farms, forests, nature reserves and commons working to enable nature’s recovery at scale and supporting the implementation of nature-based solutions. Our aim is to create ‘investable landscapes’ where we link landowners and farmers to emerging green finance opportunities, creating viable income streams for the rural economy.
