Bakery and café training young offenders
The Dusty Knuckle Bakery was established in late 2014 by Rebecca Oliver, Max Tobias and Daisy Terry. Rebecca and Daisy came from hospitality and kitchen backgrounds, Max from youth violence prevention.
From day one, the mission was to develop a buzzing food venture with exceptional standards - where young people at risk could come to learn and reconsider their direction. The motivation for this came primarily from Max's experience working with those involved in knife and gun crime in London, but also from the unease that Becca and Daisy developed after catering over many years to London's food scene, in which the capital's more vulnerable groups tend not to partake.
